This is a stupid fucking post.

First of all, given the fact that men who say this have *less than zero* empathy for the women who have similar problems, why the fuck should we be expected to empathize with them?

Second of all, literally nobody extends any of the grace these dudes demand to women. Ever. If any woman said “I’m lonely and nobody listens to my problems that’s why I’m a fan of this violent bigot who’s also a human trafficker” she’d be the internet’s number one enemy. I’m supposed to sympathize with 4chan incel freaks because they’re men now?

My biggest problem with men who do this is that they blame women for these qualifications. Sir. The call is coming from inside the house. Y'all need to have a meeting to undo what your forefathers made culture. Instead, you run into women who played no part in it and expect them to fix you or else be part of the societal problem that men molded with what power and privileges they had and perpetuate right now, even on a portion of that same privilege.

We not surprised when men turn to Andrew Tates because too many of them show us every day that they value the system more than they value the harm it can even cause them. They value the possibility that they can win at playing by the rules of the system over changing a system that makes them lonely and feel misunderstood.

Me and my mom have two different options. This has torn our family apart. So we need you to settle this, who's better Crowley or Aziraphale?

neil-gaiman:

Let’s make this easier. Let’s say that Crowley is water and light and Aziraphale is air and gravity. Now you just have to decide which one you need to survive here on Earth and you’ll be able to easily figure out who is better, Aziraphale or Crowley.

@findingtallahassee holy shit! This is cool!

“Authors retain all rights to works posted on BetaBooks, and can add or remove content at their discretion. BetaBooks makes no claim to any of the work posted on the site.”

Incase anyone was wondering

If you use this, please invite me to read y'all’s writing

Does anyone know how this works if you are looking to try the traditional publishing route? Would it be an issue if you tried to get an agent if the book was on the internet on a site like this?

@extraterrestrial-bibliophile

I looked it up, coz it sounds really cool! It seems like your book stays private, so you can only invite people to look at it, like you would a Google Doc. I imagine there’s no issues with agents then, as it’s not available to the general public.

Reblogging from the previous note, because if you want to be professionally published, you MUST be very careful in how you share your work online. If it is readily available in full for all to see, it may be viewed as previously published and therefore rejected.

As long as this company ensures you content is private and not considered published in any way, it may be safe to use, but always check these things out thoroughly before you use them if you want to go the traditional publishing route!

What are dead man walking tornadoes? :O

elecktrum:

spinejackel:

it’s a multi-vortex tornado. i dont remember the tribe it originates from (i think it was cherokee), but there’s a native american legend…? saying? that goes “if you see a man in a tornado, you are about to die.”

image

the most infamous shot of a dead man walking tornado hit jarrell, texas in 1997

image

it did so much damage to the town it caused the scale that tornados are measured by, the fijita scale, undergo revisions, and it made anchoring buildings in the tornado alley region pretty much mandatory. (it took the entire town off the map. only those who had taken shelter outside of the town or in underground bunkers survived.)

two more examples of dead man walking tornadoes looking like a person are a tornado from 2011 that hit cullman, alabama

image

and a tornado from 1975 that hit xenia, ohio

image

Jesus H. Roosevelt Christ, that’s terrifying on a whole new level.
